Terradillos de los Templariosis a small Castilian village of less than 100 inhabitants closely related to the history and tradition of St. James. From there the legend of the famous goose laying the golden eggs. It is told in this myth that every year the parish priest of San Esteban de Terradillos de los Templarios went to Santiago de Compostela to bring a golden egg. Instead, one day in Santiago, they told him they didn't want any more eggs, they want the goose. So the parish priest along with the temple workers buried the animal so that no one could take it. In addition, this town was very important because the Templars (the most famous Christian military order), were based here.
