Check that your credit card is an international card and even inform the credit company about the trip so that they don't block it by mistake

Wish other travelers Buen Camino and say Good Day (Buenos Días) to local passers-by

Learn a few words in Spanish because the locals don't always speak English

It is recommended to purchase a local SIM card in order to use the Internet and make local calls (to reserve a place in hostels) - costs around 15 euros. Please note that the local SIM card you purchased must be renewed after 28 days

Blisters can be a serious nuisance, make sure you take preventive actions and have the appropriate equipment to treat them

After a long day of walking, give your feet a good massage - they deserve it!

If there is discomfort or injury, lower your pace until the situation improves

Merino wool socks are great for preventing blisters

You can bring sandals to use after the walk or instead of shoes if there is an injury or blisters

If you are taking hiking poles with you, please note that you usually cannot take them in the bag that comes with you on the plane, but only in the bags that are sent to the belly of the plane. You can always buy them in Spain

Do trips and long walks with your hiking shoes at least 3 months before the start of the Camino
