Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia, is one of the most historic and important cities in the country. The historic center of the city has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Network since 1985, which is built stone by stone around the cathedral... the destination of the entire Camino. For centuries, thousands of pilgrims have traveled the Way of St. James every year, finally Arrived in the capital of Galicia and entered the iconic cathedral. According to tradition, this is the burial place of the remains of James the Apostle, which were discovered in the 9th century.
