The town of Arzúa, located in the southern part of La Coruña province, is also known as "cheese country" for its cheese made from fine local cow's milk, and every year the cheese festival takes place on the first Sunday in March. Arzúa gives us the opportunity to go back to Roman times, as well as absorb the Camino culture that existed for centuries. In this village we can find a great variety of historical buildings such as churches and chapels that still preserve Romanesque characteristics, as well as civic architecture, buildings for pilgrims and magnificent houses.
